About KB Foundation

A new foundation for skilled futures.

KB Foundation, Inc. was established to help more people in Southwest Florida find their way into the skilled trades — and to help local businesses find the skilled people they need to grow.

Our Story

Built where opportunity meets the trades.

KB Foundation began with a simple observation: the skilled trades offer meaningful, well-paying careers, but the path into them is not always clear — and not always open. Meanwhile, local businesses struggle to find the skilled workers they need.

We are a new organization, and we are honest about that. There is no long history to tell yet. What we have is a clear intention: to connect people, businesses, and educational opportunities so that more people can build skilled careers — and more businesses can build strong teams.

As we confirm partners, mentors, and programs, this story will become more specific. For now, this is the beginning.

The Need

Why Skilled Trades Matter

Skilled trades keep our communities running — the homes we live in, the power we rely on, the water we use, the air we breathe. They offer stable, well-paying careers that do not require a four-year degree.

As experienced tradespeople retire and demand for skilled work grows, the need to bring new people into these careers has never been clearer. KB Foundation exists to help meet that need — by making the path into the trades more visible, more supported, and more connected to real opportunity.

Together

The Power of Community Partnerships

No one builds a career alone, and no one builds a workforce alone. The strongest pathways into the trades come from partnerships — experienced professionals willing to mentor, businesses willing to hire and train, and schools willing to teach.

KB Foundation aims to be the connective tissue between these groups. We believe that when a community works together, more people find meaningful careers and more businesses find the talent they need.
